CancerThera researchers participate in a scientific event on Head and Neck Oncology for knowledge exchange in the field

Head and neck cancer is one of the target tumors for the development of new metallodrugs and theranostics at CEPID CancerThera. Seeking to exchange knowledge and updates on the tumor, two researchers from our center participated in the VI Annual Symposium of the Brazilian Group of Head and Neck Cancer and the IV Multidisciplinary Forum of Head and Neck Oncology, which took place on March 15 and 16, respectively, in São Paulo (SP), at the Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi Hotel.

The events were promoted by the Brazilian Group of Head and Neck Cancer (GBCP) and the Latin American Cooperative Oncology Group (LACOG) Head and Neck, with the main theme “Multidisciplinary innovations in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with head and neck cancer.”

Prof. Dr. Carmen Silvia Passos Lima, principal investigator at CancerThera, was the moderator of panel 2 of the IV Multidisciplinary Forum of Head and Neck Oncology, on the topic “Immunonutrition.”

Dr. Lígia Traldi Macedo, associate researcher at CancerThera, was the chair of panel 2 of the VI Annual Head and Neck Cancer Symposium: “New diagnostic tests in head and neck oncology: how, when, how much, and for whom?”
