Radiochemistry
CancerThera's research and innovation related to radiopharmaceuticals involve multiple stages, starting with the synthesis and characterization of new molecules, mainly organic ones, and extending to bioproducts (proteins and cells) or different nanomaterials.
Radiochemistry
Radiochemistry is used for the preparation of radioactive compounds, on a milligram scale, enabling their structural characterization and the development of new radiopharmaceuticals. This area includes the planning and preparation of new chelating agents with potential antitumor effects, aiming to obtain potential theranostic agents by labeling radionuclides. Radiochemistry work is located at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo.
