Radiopharmacy
In CancerThera's Radiopharmacy area, radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive drugs) are produced and subjected to quality and safety control for use in Nuclear Medicine for diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) purposes, including theoretical planning, target development, and preclinical studies.
Radiopharmacy
The current Radiopharmacy infrastructure at CancerThera labels various radioisotopes for use in Diagnostic Oncology and potential cancer treatments. Our Radiopharmacy research, with an emphasis on Macromolecule Chemistry, is primarily focused on the following topics: radiolabeled peptides with physiological relevance, creation of biomarkers (peptides) relevant to medicine, and the physicochemical aspects of peptide aggregation related to amyloid fibril formation. Radiopharmacy work is based at the School of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo.
