Preclinical
Oncology
The Preclinical Oncology area, along with Preclinical Nuclear Medicine, seeks to evaluate the antiproliferative and cytotoxic effects, biodistribution, and toxicity of metal-based pharmaceutical products, as well as their potential mechanisms of action in inflammation and other relevant cancer signaling pathways.
Preclinical
Oncology
Researchers in Preclinical Oncology evaluate the antiproliferative and cytotoxic effects, as well as the action of compounds developed at CancerThera on cell death in tumor cell lines. Additionally, animals (with and without tumors) are used to analyze the biodistribution, efficacy, toxicity, and molecular effects of these compounds. Preclinical Oncology research at CancerThera is carried out at the Preclinical Oncology Laboratory of the School of Medical Sciences of Unicamp.
