CancerThera – The Therapeutic Innovation Center in Cancer participated, on September 18, 2026, at Campinas Health 2026, held as part of the Campinas Innovation Week 2026, which brought together experts to discuss advances and transformations in the health sector.
Representing the cancer, the prof. Dr. Carmen Silvia Passos Lima, from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Unicamp (FCM/UNICAMP), participated in the table “Innovations that are changing medicine – the great forces that are transforming medicine”, carried out during the morning.
In her presentation, the researcher addressed the advances in the treatment of skin cancer, highlighting the development of new therapeutic strategies and the importance of scientific research for innovation in oncology and for the search for increasingly effective treatments.
The Bureau brought together representatives from different areas and institutions, including Prof. Dr. Priscila Tincani (FCM/UNICAMP), Dr. Maria Fernanda Costa (Unimed Campinas), Cristiani Reimers (Tecnovates/Univates) and Dr. Maria Fernanda Abalem (USP/University of Michigan).
The meeting promoted a multidisciplinary dialogue on research, innovation, entrepreneurship, new therapies and the paths to bring scientific knowledge to the needs of the health system.
The participation of CancerThera in Campinas Health 2026 reinforces the project’s commitment to the integration between science, innovation and health, in addition to expanding connections with professionals, institutions and different actors in the health innovation ecosystem.
