Researchers and managers of FAPESP CEPID Cancerthera participated, on August 13, 2026, in a Innovation meeting at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), in Campinas (SP). The meeting brought together members of Cancerthera and representatives of CNPEM, Cláudia Caparelli and Gabriela Leal, to discuss possibilities of collaboration, innovation and technology transfer.
The CNPEM is one of the main centers of scientific and technological research in the country, with multidisciplinary action and highly complex infrastructure. Its innovation area works to promote partnerships, research and technological development and technology transfer, bringing scientific knowledge closer to practical applications.
In this context, the approximation between Cancerthera and the CNPEM the possibilities of applying the research results and opens up new perspectives for the development of innovative solutions in the field of oncology.
The doctors professors participated in the meeting Pedro Paulo Corbi and Carmem Silvia Passos Lima, in addition to the technology transfer manager, Maria Carolina Santos Mendes; of the Project Executive Manager, Maria Elvira Pizzigatti Correa; and the Knowledge Diffusion Manager, Roberta Steganha.
The meeting reinforces Cepid Cancerthera’s commitment to the integration between science, innovation and society, strengthening collaborative networks and creating ways to transform knowledge and scientific discoveries into solutions with potential impact on health.
